I just went out to our teen bookshelf and found this guy just hanging out, overlooked.

I love when books have maps, especially when they are made up places. The author has more than 40 books to his name, both written for adults and teens. Why have I not heard of Maurice Gee before?
The inside jacket flap leaves the story sounding vague, which is exciting. I hate knowing everything about a book going in. Here is the library summary:

This sounds so good. I think I will inch it into my book list for Dystopian Teen Week (I'm going to figure out the exact days of DTW by Wednesday).
